DJ Shea Marie

FLY/Girl Friday Promotions/Modesto
Deep House/Tech House
Growing up without electronic music until the age of 19, Shea Marie quickly found a love and passion for house music. She purchased her first decks at the age of 22, but started a more serious venture to deejay at the age of 27. Her love for music and the scene has been her motivation to bring the people to the dance floor at St. Louis’ favorite hotspots including Upstairs Lounge, Atomic Cowboy, Modesto and Urban. See Shea Marie spin at Girl Friday’s One Year Anniversary Party on August 29 at Atomic Cowboy.

DJ Sinamin

Core DJs/Derrty DJs
Playing music from every genre, whether its hip hop, rock, reggae, pop, RnB, funk, mash-ups, drum n bass, breaks, house, trance or techno she can tear up any dance floor. In April 2007, she was the first female DJ officially on St. Louis radio on KSLZ107.7 and Z107.7 (HD).
Sinamin has been involved and surrounded by music her entire life. She began playing the piano by ear around age 5, and has continued to have a love for music. Growing up around various types of music, she has grown to appreciate all genres. This is what finally led her to become a DJ. Working in a record store for 5 years and going to various rave parties and concerts, she began to see that many people weren’t and aren’t as open to different types of music as she is. DJing is her way to introduce people to new music. She really loves nothing more than when someone genuinely asks, “What song is this? I love it.†She is a master at reading crowds and rocking parties.
Sinamin began spinning records in 2001. With a growing love for drum and bass she learned to mix, and within a year she started getting booked for gigs. However not long after, the party scene in Saint Louis began to slowly deteriorate and there weren’t many gigs available. So Sinamin went back to the drawing board to figure out a new plan of action. Practicing for hours on end, a few years went by, and finally she was ready to try something new. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, she re-emerged as a hip hop/top40/rock/funk/electronic/reggae and everything in between DJ.
In 2006, Sinamin was a finalist in the Riverfront Times “Ultra Music Festival†contest. She was the only hip hop DJ in the finals, and one of 2 females. In 2006, she played regularly at the Hi-Pointe, Delmar Lounge, MP O’Reillys, Mercury, Upstairs Lounge, Kitchen K, and The Red Sea. She was recently invited to be a member of Saint Louis’ elite DJ crew the Derrty DJs. Being the only female in the crew, she has her work cut out for her. She is a force to be reckoned with.
